The following changes in Police officers have been notified Second-class Detective Campl» : 1' of Wellington has been promoted to first-class detective. Third cla -s Detective Madden has been transferred from ( iiri-icViuveb to . Auckland to assist first-class Detective Detective Herbert has been transferred from Invercargili to the Auckland district and will be stationed on the goldfields. Acting-Detectives Marsack of Christchurch and Bailey of Auckland nave been promoted to fourth-eiass detectives. The former will be transferred to Oamaru, Detective O'Brien being stationed at Dnnedin from Oamaru. Detective Bailey will do duty 111 Auckland. Constable Lemm of Oamaru will go to Naseby to take the place of Sergeant Green, who has been transferred to \Y estport.
