Most of the Australian competitors at Bisley are suffering from slight colds, and also feel at a disadvantage from the unevenness of the wind owing to trees i:; the neighborhood of the ranges, consequently the shooting lias been somewhat irregular. At use Bisley ritle meeting the Victorians won the Kolopore challenge cup with a score of 751 points. The New Zealand team was second with 718. This match was open to teams of eight men ; distances 200, .">OO and 600 yds. Amongst the number of colonials who made the highest possible scores in other matches were Hawthorn and Strachan (New Zealanders).
