KEEN COMPETITION. (ZVr IV<'.ss Awciation —L'ttpyriyhi). London, July 7. At the wool sales Charles lialme and Co. and Jacomb, Son and Co. offered 10,681 bales of an average selection of. wool. The attendance was unusually large, and there was the keenest competition amongst the Home, American, and "German buyers. Shafty and greasy merinos sold at 5 per cent, above the highest prices realised at the May series of sales, and other sorts were very firm, but prices remain unchanged. The Americans bought very freely for immediate shipment.
