THE RECORD REIGN.
JUBILEE CELEI3RATIONS. THE GREAT NAVAL REVIEW AT SPIT HEAD. A MAGNIFICENT SPECTACLE. {Per Press Association. —t'oy-i/rl'fht.) ... JP London, June 27The great naval review at Spithead yesterday was one of the grandest maritime spectacles the world has ever witnessed. The British fleet was composed of 16-5 warships, flying pennants, manned by 50,000 men. The vessels consisted of the Channel Reserve squadron (commanded by Admiral Sir Noel Salmon). The warships were ranged in six lines, four of which extended five miles. Almost every country sent representative warships, swelling the total number taking part to 200. Among the foreign vessels were the United States armored cruiser Brooklyn, the French armored turret ship Pothynan, the German cruiser Konig Wilhclm, the Russian armored cruiser Rossia, and the Japanese barbette ship Fugi. It was a most imposing scene. All the warships, British and foreign, joined in the royal salute. Many of the huge steamers present were crammed with sightseers from all parts of the United Kingdom. Three hundred yachts from the Ryde added to an attractive scene.
