He expressed an opininn that there < not here a greater feeling of loyalty than existed in Queensland. In tb«"course of a very long speech Mr Nelpto sard tbe ambition of the colony ♦wi to form a part of one of tbe pillars which supported the Empire. Mr Byrnes said that though a small minority in Queensland might endeavor to stop immigrants it was the intention of the colonists to make Queensland a nation without separation from England.
