A Handsome Presentation.

TO ARCHBISHOP REDWOOD

[By Telegraph.]

(Per Press Association.)

Wellington, This day. A pleasant function took place last evening at St. Patrick's College, when Archbishop Redwood, who has just recently returned from Rome, was presented by the clergy and laity with a purse of 400 sovereigns. The Rev. Father Devoy, acting on behalf of the donors, made the presentation in the presence of a very large number of friends of the Archbishop. Later on Dr. Watters, on behalf of the pupils attending the college, also presented the Archbishop with a puise containing upwards of 10 sovereigns. The presentations were made voluntarily, and the Archbishop intends to devote the money to diocesan purposes.
