The first portion of the mutton and beef presented l>y the Australian pastoralists towards th> Loudon poor dinners hag arrived. Ireland and Scotland, through the Lord Mayor of Dublin and Lord Provost of Edinburgh respectively, have each received 4000 carcases. London, Manchester, and Liverpool each receive 1500. Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds, and Newcastle 1000, Cardiff, Bristol, Nottingham, Bradford, Hull, and Salford 500, and Derby and Norwich 250. The redistribution of the meat has in every case been left to the absolute discretion - - ol respective Mayors. By the special request of the subscribers to the Eoyal Italian Opera Madame Melba will take the part of Lucia in the opera of " Lucia do Lammeruioor" at a Royal command Dight. The price of the stalls for the occasion has been fixed at 20 guineas.
