LEGALISING BETTING.
A MEASURE BEFORE THE N.S.W. ASSEMBLY. f Per Press Association. — Copyn'yht. j Sydney, This day. In the Assembly the Hon. Mr Levein's Betting Bill was read the first time. It proposes to exempt the Rand wick racecourse and all other racecourses and lands registered under the rules and regulations of the Jockey Club from the interpretation of the word "place" under the Betting House Suppression Act, making betting in these places legal.
