[By Telegraph.] {Per Press Association.) Wellington, This day. The captain of the lonic was fined £1 and 30s costs for permitting a clog to be landed without undergoing quarantine. The annual meeting of the Licensing Committee granted all the hotel licenses to 11 p.m., but refused an application for a New Zealand wine license. In the Soler divorce case the morning was taken up with the examination of William Tong, who said he was born in the colony and educated in the State schools. He described watching Tucker's room with Bassett and seeing someone enter it, but he could not say who. Bassett gave him 80s a week and expenses. Witness was crossexamined at length by Mr Jellicoe.
