THE JAMESON RAID.
MR LABOUCHERE SENSE OF HONOR APPEALED TO. BUT WITHOUT EFFECT. (rer Press Association—Copyright). London, June 1. The Committee of Inquiry has refused the request of Mr Harris that Mr Rhodes and Mr Hawkesley be reported to the House of Commons for refusing to produce cablegrams from Mr Rhodes to persons in London. Mr Chamberlain deposed that Mr Hawkesley in May, 1806, showed him in confidence copies of telegrams. They contained nothing of the slightest importance. Mr Chamberlain added that he had no personal objection to their production. Mr Belt asked the Chairman to appeal to Mr Labouchere's sense of honor and justice to establish or withdraw the charges made against him. Mr Labouchere remained silent.
