A Publican's Appeal Case.
(By Telegraph.) (f\r Association.) Christchubch, Tii :s day. A case of some interest to hotelkeepers came before Judge Deanistoii to-day. It was an appeal from the decision of thn > Justices at Ringiora fining a pnblicao. under the Beer Duties Act for putting a siphon into a cr.sk without first destroying the stamp. It proved to the satisfaction of the Justices that no withdrawal of beer h<vl 'akeri place. His Huiior held that as there had been no withdrawal of b' or no offence had been commie led. and he allowed the appeal.
