On Saturday, 22nd, and on Monday, 24th May, Holiday Excursion Tickets (available for return up to and including Ist June, 1897), at reduced rates of 2d per mile first-class aud Id per mile second class (minimum fares 4s and 2s respectively, mileage counted one way only) will be issued between all stations on the Na-pier-Tarauaki section (excepting where ordinary fare is less). Above tickets will be extensible for return journey for a further period of fourteen days in terms of published regulations. On May 24th Excursion Tickets will be issued as under, available for return on day of issue only : From Hastings, Tomoana, aud Whakatu to Napier (or vice versa) —First class 2s 6d, second class Is 6d. From Farndon to Napier (or vice versa) — First class Is 6d, second class Is. TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. (24th May, 18S7). A speciel passenger train will leave Napier for Kaikora at 9.0 a.m., Farndon 9.2-3, Hastings 9.55, Te Aute 10.56, liaikora arrive 11.26 a.m., and return as follows : Ivaikora depart 6.20 p.m., Te Aute 7.5 p.m., Hastings 7.50, Farndon 8.10, Napier arrive 8.35 p.m. Note. —Passengers to Ivaikora races from North can return by ordinary train leaving Ivaikora for Napier at 5.50 p.m. A special passenger train will leave Waipukurau for Ivaikora at Noon, Waipawa 12.13 p.m., Kaikora arrive 12.26 p.m. A special passenger train will leave Napier for Hastings at 1.30 p.m., Farndon 2 p.m., Hastings arrive 2.20 p.m. The train usually leaving Napier for Dannevirke at 2.35 p.m. will be delayed, and will leave Napier at 3 p.m., Farndon 3.25, Hastings 4 p.m., Te Aute 5 p.m., Kaikora 5.55 p.m., and thence correspondingly later than usual to destination. The Napier-Spit trains will not run. Goods ti*affic will be suspended and all goods sheds closed. For fares at above rates and for further information see posters or inquire at stations. BY ORDER.
