Fires in Masterton.

THREE BLAZES. [By Telegraph.] (Per Press Association.) Mastertox, This day. Last night the dwelling of Mrs McConnell, late of Pahiatua, was destroyed* by fire through the accidental contact of the candle kapoc mattress. . This morning three houses near Wrigley-street were burned. They were occupied by Mrs Fly, Mrs Warren, and Mr Collien. A fourth in Hope-street, occupied by Mr Hartmann, is now—ll a.m.— burning. A strong wind is blowing. Fortunately the buildings are in a thinly populated part of the town or the result would be disastrous. The loss so far does not exceed £6OO.
