Cochrane, Inspector of Mines on the West Coast, has resigned his appointment, having accepted a good position on the staff of the New Zealand Consolidated Company at Auckland. Greymouth, This Day. Mr Lowing, Traffic Manager on the Brunner' Railway, who but recently arrived from Dunedin, died this morning after a brief illness.
