NAPIER NOTES.
[From our own Correspondent.] Napier, This Day. THE RELIEF SPORTS. - Under the able management the sports held yesterday on the Recreation Ground could not have been a failure. Although the weather was not too bright, the attendance was very large. A procession on a large scale brought the crowd to the ground in hundreds, and at one time there must have been over 2000 present. The events were got off with marked punctuality and there was a deal of enthusiasm shown at all times by the spectators. For the best decorated bicycle there were a number of entries, the judges awarding the first prize to Mrs Carlile, with Miss Nairn and Mrs Balfour next. In the children's go-cart exhibits Mrs W. C.
