THE GREEKS INTEND TO CONTINUE THE WAR. THE GOVERNMENT PURCHASING DISCARDED RIFLES. (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) London, May 4. The Times' Athens correspondent states that the Greek Government, after consultation with the Ministers who visited Phersala. have resolved to continue the war. Athens, May 4. A hundred boxes of Government funds have been shipped from Volo to Athens. The chief Greek military depot in Thessaly contains only 1200 rounds of shells. The Government are offering to \ urchase discarded French rifles. Two hundred thousand have been sold to the Greek National Society at 7s 6d apiece. The Austrian authorities have delayed forwarding Greece a supply of cartridges recently purchased in Austria. May 5. Colonel Vassos, of Cretan fame, takes command of the troops in Epirus. Constantinople, May 5. The Porte has consented to Great Britain and France protecting the Greek residents in Turkey until a date is fixed for their departure.
