The Auckland Defaulter.
REMANDED. [By Telegraph.] (I'er Press Association.) New Plymouth, This day. John Douglas, who was arrested at Durham road, Inglewood, on Monday, was brought before the Police Court this morning charged with the theft *f' £225, the property of J. P. Duiuoon March olst, 189-1. ne was remanded to Auckland to May 7th. Accused was a steerage passenger by the Girloch from Onehunga on Friday last and was string with a friend at Durham road. He goes north to-night in charge of Constable Ryan.
