Commencing MONDAY, 3rd May, 1897, the ordinary time-table will be resumed between Wanganui and Pahnerston North, excepting that trains will be slightly delayed leaving Rangitikei River, where passengers and parcels require to be ferried across (free ferry). Excursion tickets to Waipukurau Racecourse (including admission to racecourse) will be issued at Napier, Waipawa, and intermediate stations (available for use on day of issue and by Rjicc Special only), at the following fares : Ist 2nd Ist 2nd s. d. s. d. s. d. a. d. Passengers from and to Awatoto and Napier will require to walk a short distance between Washout and Waitangi ferry, free ferry provided. A coach runs between Waitangi ferry and Farndon station ; fare 6d either way, payable by passengers. Train Arrangements. An Excursion train (stopping at all stations if required) will leave Napier 7.80 a.m., Fajriidon 8.40, Hastings 9.15, Te Aute 10.5,* Kaikora 10.40, Waipawa 10.55, arriving at racecourse at 11.20 a.m., and will return, leaving racecourse 5.15 p.m., Waipukurau 5.25, Waipawa 5.40, Kaikora 5.55, Te Aute 6.31, Ha stings 7.15, Farndon arrive 7.40, Washout depart 8.30, Napier arrive 8.45 p.m. No be. —As, owing to break in line, the car accommodation on the Excursion trains will necessarily be limited, the South Excursion train will lift passengers for Waipukurau racecourse only.; and passengers (other than excursion ticket holders) will be lifted by north excursion train provided only there be room in train. The train usually leaving Hastings for Waipukurau at 5.15 p.m. will not leave until 5.40 p.m. The 2.10 p.m. train from Dannevirke to Hastings will not leave Waipukurau until 6.12 p.m. The 2.25 p.m. train from Hastings to Dannevirke will not leave Waipukurau until 5.30 p.m. Above trains will run from Hastings and Waipukurau respectively, correspondingly later than usual to destination. • The 6.45 a.m. train from and thjg 5.30 p.m. train from Waipukurau will stop at Waipukurau racecourse if required.
