A NOTORIOI'S CRIMINAL. GLOATS OVER HIS CRIMES. Sydnky, This day. Amongst the other statement- of P»utler evidently made with ulterior motives is that his father died in a lunatic asylum. Another crime which he he hints he knows something about is the murder of a man at Cootamundra, whose body, with the head battered in, was found in a wateru*rhole about two years ago. The detectives interviewed fully confirm Butler's confession of the murder of Burgess and several others, and his attempt at suicide. They are convinced he can make more sensational disclosures, and will do so in the near future.
