EUROPEAN AND FOREIGN. (Per I'rr.sfi Association.—Cojiyriyht.) London, April 26. The War Office requires 10,000 horses for remounts, and 1 •"> officers have been sent to the Argentine Republic to purchase them. Further large consignments of military stores and ammunition are being sent to Cape Town. Eight hundred troops sailed for the Cape on Saturday and three batteries of field artiilery are under orders to embark. H. Bottomly has voluntarily recouped the shareholders of the Hansard Publishing Union £200,000. Vienna, April 27. The Emperor, accompanied by M. Goluchowski, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Baron Beck, MajorGeneral of the Army, have left for St. Petersburg to visit the Czar. PitETOEiA, April 26. The trial of Lieutenant Eloff for using insulting language in reference to Queen Victoria has concluded, and resulted in his acquittal. Monte Vjdea, April 26. The Tekoa sailed for London to-day.
