[By Telegraph.] (Per Pros* Association.) Auckland, This day. Sailed, yesterday afternoon —Indramayo, for Gisborne ; to-day, the warship Tauranga, for Noumea. Wellington, This Day. Robert Levett has been committed for trial for stealing £94 worth of jewellery from Will-tins and Field's. He was intoxicated at the time and took the goods back next morning. Ciiristciiurch, This day. A six-roomed house at Opawa, occupied by Mr A. T. Attwood, artist, and owned by Detective O'Connor, of Dunedin, was totally destroyed by fire yesterday. Mr Attwood was alone in the house and was reading in bed, when he fell asleep, dropping the paper on to the lighted candle. He had a narrow escape. The furniture was insured for £IOO in the Commercial Union. The house insurance is unknown. DrNEDix, This day. The Mosgiel Woollen Factory has declared an interim dividend for the half-year at the rate of 8 per cent per annum.
