IN accordance with the Fifth Section of " The School Committees Election Act, 1891," notice is hereby given that the Board of the Education District of Hawke's Bay has appointed 7 o'clock in the evening as the time for the Annual Meeting of Householders, which will be held on MONDAY, the twenty-sixth day of April, 1897. Where not otherwise specially mentioned herein, the place of meeting will be the Schoolhouse in each district. In the following School Districts, however, the places of meeting will be respectively : For Napier, the Theatre Royal; for Matawhero, the Schoolhouse, Matawhero; "for Kaikora, the Schoolhouse, Kaikora ; for Woodville, the Main Schoolhouse, Woodville ; for Onga Onga, the Schoolhouse, Onga Onga; for Danevirke, the Schoolhouse, Danevirke. The number to be elected to each Committee mentioned in the First Schedule hereto is NINE, in those mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto SEVEN, and in those mentioned in the Third Schedule hereto FIVE. The Householders within the several School Districts are hereby called upon to send in to their respective Chairmen of the several School Committees in writing on or about the Nineteenth day of April, 1897, by post or delivery, so as to be delivered not later than Eight o'clock in the evening, the names of persons being Resident Householders nominated by them for election to serve upon the committee for the year next ensuing.
