It is over twelve months ago since the manual lire engine was overhauled hy us. I intendedi dom.L; so. but owing to pressure of work at the time the job was taken round to Mr Kingswell. who charged ;>os. Of course we would have done this work gratis as we laid put in tile new plungers. 1 cannot see Wilat object Messrs Ih-auseh and Kingswell have in draeying my name into the matter of paid labor for working the- manual fire engine, unless they want to do me and my business an injury.
