A portion of the National League invguhirs continue operations against Baltino, where they are be.-eiging *OO Turkish troops. The remainder have advanced into Turkish territory, but the direction of the advance and its object are not known. April 13. Baltino was captured by the Greek irregulars after a deperate resistance. The Turkish garrison escaped during the night. A battalion sent to relieve the town was surrounded and routed with heavy loss. The Greeks have cut the telegraph lines communicating with Grevana and Janina in Albania. A force of a thousand Greek volunteers evaded the eil'orts of the Delyaunis to intercept them, anil crossed the frontier. It is their intention to endeavor to occupy Janina. Lonih.n. April 12. Ilarc-oui't moved the presentation of an address to the Queen, urging that Great Britain should not employ force against either Greece or Crete. Mr Balfour said that Great Britain by acting in concert with the Powers had done more for freedom and peace than was otherwise possible. If the Opposition proposed a policy of isolation the Government would oiler facilities for debating the questions. Sir W. V. Ilarcourt's motion was negatived by a majority of 101.
