Deleyannis, the Premier, st.ii.es that no regular troops were concerned in the fighting, and that it is impossible to restrain the Leaguers. The Porte has pro; d to the Powers against the invasion of Turkish territory, and denounced the Greeks as aggressors. The Porte insists that the regulars were concerned in the invasion (at Kiania. near Grevena), and were repulsed. The Porte further states that the Turks are willing to retire when the Creeks withdraw from the frontier and from Crete. London. April 12. Further details of the fighting on the Turco-Grecian frontier show that 800 irregular Greek troops, ( quipped' by tbe National League, armed with cannon and commanded by ex-military officers, attempted to seize the passes between Macedonia and Epirus. The Times'correspondent at Ela.-ona reports that the irregulars obtained slight successes at tirr-t, but they were ultimately repulsed and driven over the frontier with a loss of -"JO men. The Greeks declare that lightmg still continues, and that HOO Turks have beseigeil Baltino. The Daily Chronicle states that Greece warned the Porte of the intended invasion of Turkey by the National Leaguers.
