The Supreme Court opened this morning before Justice Connolly. The, criminal calendar contains 15 charges against eight persons. The dairy produce entered for export from this port for the past quarter amounted to £103,000. J. Malcomson, charged with misappropriation from Wood Bros, Christchurch, was further remanded to April 15th. Chrjstchubch, This day. After consideration of Lady Stout's protest the National Council of Women of New Zealand unanimously passed the following resolutions:—(l.) "We, representative delegates of the National Council of Women in New Zealand in council assembled, endorse the action taken by the Executive officers with regard to the change of place of meeting. (2.) We feel it necessary to refute the charges made by Lady Stout's protest against the resident secretary and treasurer, believing that in no wise have they exceeded their duty during the past year." A detailed refutation of the charges made in the protest will be drawn up and left with the secretary to be published if Lady Stout's further action renders it necessary. The award of the Conciliation Board in tho dispute between the masters and carpenters recommends 10s per day as the minimum; the maximum to be decided by committee of employers and workmen. Overtime to be time and a-quarter for first four hours, time and a-half afterwards. Decision to come into force on May 21th next. Each side to accept or refuse the award by Tuesday next.
