(Per Press Association. —(-'>l"jri<jht.)
Cape Town, March 30.
At a meeting of the South African League held here the proceedings were marked by strong patriotic feeling. The speakers denounced the evidence given by the Hon. W. P. Schreiner (Attorney-General in the Rhodes Adminstration) before the House of Commons Transvaal Raid Commission of Inquiry, in which he generally supported the Transvaal Government.
Colonel Rhodes estimates the cost of the raid at £250,000.
