Berlingske Tidende, a newspaper published here, states than an agreement has been arrived at between Russia and Turkey by which the Czar guarantees the integrity of Turkey, receiving in return an island in the Mediterranean and the peninsula of Mount Athos.

An agreement has been arrived at between the Transvaal and the Orange Free State by which the burghers shall be entitled to the franchise in both states. The agreement, however, is subject to confirmation by the Yolksraud of booth Republics.
