Miscellaneous Extracts.

. A TERRIBLE TRAGEDY. A terrible tragedy has occurred at the theatre of Arad, in Hungary. The actor, Koloman Balla, who was taking the rule of a young man who shot himself dead after a wasted life, did so in reality upon the stage. The audience, not perceiving the grim earnestness of the act, applauded to the echo while the actor's life-blood ebbed away. Balla, who was formerly an officer, was a public favorite. He had specially invited all his friends saying he should play that evening better than ever before. It is believed he was unlucky in love.
