The University Senate.
(Per Pfvxx Association.) [By Telegraph.] Auckland, This day. The University Senate concluded its session to-day. The members leave for the south to-morrow. Joseph Moody Simpson was admitted to the "degree of B.A. ad eundem. Various bills to amend the statutes were passed, the purport of which have been already telegraphed.*--Tho first biennial prize®,"-the Bowen fund will be awarded in 1900 ; value £o. The MacMillan Brown memorial prize, subject Antarctica, must be in by the end of December 1897. The prize will be awarded in March.
