Auckland, This day. Arrived—Tasmania, from Sydney. There are no passengers for Napier.

Professor Wallace who was killed by a bicycle accident in England on Saturday, was one of the examiner's for the Now Zealand University. The examiners were to have held their meeting next Saturday, in which case* the results of the recent examinations would have been telegraphed to the Registrar, who is at present in Auckland, on Monday next. It is now possible that Professor Wallace's death will delay the meeting, and that the candidates will not get the results as early as exported. Lionel K. Isherwood has been arrested here on the charge of obtaining £'lo by false pretences from Stephen Godfrey and Wm. Barnes, lie was brought up before the Police Court to-day and remanded to Wellington.
