Oddfellowship.

ANNNUAL MEETING OF THE

H.B. DISTRICT,

The business of the meeting of delegates of the H.B. Manchester L nity concluded yesterday. The following officers were appointed : —P.G.M., Bro. G. Love; P.D.G.M., Bro. JR. Hislop ; treasurer, P.G., Bro. W. M. Newboukl ; auditors, P.P.G.M., Bro. W. H. Cooper, P.G., Bro. John Holt, and Bro. 11. Bull; lodge book examiner. P.S., Bro. R. Fennell; certifying officer, P.C'.S., Bro.-J. R. Fielder: trustees, P.P.G.M., Bro. J. Wolstenholme ; member of management committee, P.P.G.M., Bro. A. E. Jull. Danevirke was selected as the next place of meeting. Permanent Secretary Martin who is about to leave for a tour in the Old Country was appointed delegate to represent the district at the annual meeting of the moveable committee of the M.U..1.0.0.F., which will be held in Douglas, Isle of Man, on June 7th o! this year, and a sum of money was voted towards his expenses. G.M. Bro. Wolstenhslme and Prov. C.S. Bro. Fielder were re-appointed delegates to represent the district in the H.B. Friendly Societies' Association.

At the conclusion of the business, the Loyal Hastings Lodge entertained the visitors to luncheon at Caulton's Hotel, where a very sociable time was spent. After lunch secretary Cooper, of the Loyal Napier Lodge, presented the Hastings and Danevirke Lodges with framed enlarged photographs of the Napier Lodge, and Bro. Martin was the recipient of a similar compliment as a momento of the pleasant associations which always existed between him and the Napier Oddfellows.
