The Seamen's Dispute.
[By Telegraph.] (/Vr i'/v.vs A**o> iati<<n.) Wellington, This day. The recognition of Labor Day as a holiday for seamen is one of the points that is being considered by the Conciliation Board. The Chairman suggested that employers and unions should approach and ask them to proejjim one day for the whole colony. then agreed that the Board shouM be constituted a body and approach both parties, and get the matter settled. Several owners said their boats were not paying now, and they could not possibly increase the wages. The competition of large companies like the Union was squeezing the small owners out.
