Constantinople, Feb. 6. Fierce street fighting occurred in Canea, in Crete. The troops are assisting the rioters. The Christian quarter of the town was burnt, and 300 people killled. Many persons are taking refuge on the warships. The foreign Consuls ars powerless to stop the fighting. The rising is becoming general throughout the island. Greece is despatching ironclad cruisers.
