A CONFESSION OF GUILT. A REVOLTING CASE. (Per P/v-k A uxor ia (i> hi. C <>i>t/r it/It t.) MKiasuriiXK, This day. Further horrible facts have come cut regarding the murder of Mrs Lyfield at Kosebrook, near Port Fairy. Mrs Snell, a daughter of Lylield, c mfessed she had talien part with her father in the inurde'r of her stepmother. She held Mrs Lyfield's arias while Ly field struck her on the head with a heavy hammer and killed her. Mrs Snell has been arrested on a charge of murder. The particulars of the confession, which are of a revolting character, are to the effect that the father was greatly annoyed because of the .strict watch which the mother kept on his movements, preventing father and daughter from having improper intimacy : and the father said he would kill his wife. The murder was carried out later on in the day with the assistance of Mrs Snell. One of Mrs Snell's daughter's has also confessed to seeing the murder committed.
