On Dit cut out the running for the greater part of the journey but in the straight Davis brought the son of Dreadnought to the front and won easily by two lengths. Time, lmin 44isec. Div., £~> 4s. Nursery Handicap, sixfurlongs. Maybud 1 Dotterell ... ... ... 2 Defiant ... ... ... 3 All started. Natella lost her chance at the post. A great race took place between the first two liorses till near the post where the daughter of Medallion and Rosebud drew out and won by a length. Time, lmin 19sec. Div., £3 12s. Wellington Cup, 1| miles. Strathbraan 1 Douglas 2 Mars 3 All started. Won all the way. Strathbraan jumped away with the lead and led past the stand by six lengths. After the field had gone six furlongs, Douglas moved up, but as the turn for the straight was reached, Strathbraan came away again, and won very easily without being touched with the whip. Time 2min. 89sec. Div., £lB. Hurdles, 2 miles. Bush Girl 1 Tangaroa 2 Much Ado 3 All started, won all the way. Div., £6 Bs. GISBORNE RACING CLUB. Gisborne, This day.
