[By Telegraph.] (['< )■ I 'rc.sx Association.) Auckland, This day. The Theosophicnl Crusaders held a meeting in the City Hall last night. There was a large attendance. An address was given by Mr E. T. Hargreaves, president of Theosopical Society, United States of America, Europe, and Australasia, explanatory of his crusade. Mrs Tingley, leader of the Theospphical movement, described the effects of the famine in India as she had found them, and urged New Zealand to send a cargo of grain to the famished people. as money was of no use owing to syndicates having bought up the grain in the Indian market. They could not imagine the sufferings of the millions of people in India who were literally starving.
