The Petone Murders.

[By Telectkaph]

(IV/- lVe-v.s Axxociutivf )

Wellington-, Jan. 12. The Petone murder trial again occupied the Court all day. Several witnesses were examined, but scarcely any new facts adduced. Ilenry Fleet, nightwatchman, deposed that he possed Jones's at about H o'clock on the night of the murder and saw the shadow of a tall man on the window blind ; he also noticed that the back-door was open during the night and a light burning. James Panhill said he passed Jones's at about 7.15, and heard Jones talking to Bosher at that hour. Margaret Davies, of the Salvation Army, said Bosher arrived at the barracks at about 8 80 on the night of the murder. The trial will probably last over the week.
