During the approaching .session, the House of Commons would he asked to make considerable financial provisions for the establishment of British coaling stations, anil lie hoped France would recognise the fact that Britain was determined to be supreme upon the seas. Sir M. Hicks-Beach said it was imperative thafc Great Britain should continue to extend her Empire.
