THE MARKET CLOSES FIRM. (/'(-/• Press Association—('"jii/ri'/ht.) Sydney, This day. The wool sales arc closed, but will be resumed on January 4. During the series 310,280 bales were offered, a decrease of 20,658. Two hundred and seventy-six thousand six hundred and eighty-six were sold, a decrease of 28,127 compared with the corresponding six months of last year. The sales closed actively in all sections. Best classes were a farthing below the highest prices, medium practically unchanged, inferior and lambs wool irregular, scoured weaker.
