Wanderers' Bicycle Club Sports.
The above sports were held on the Recreation Ground, Napier, on Saturday afternoon in the presence of a largo number of spectators. The weather was line, and the track was in firstclass order. The City Band was in attendance, and enlivened the proceedings with sonic excellent music. The following were the results : One Mile Maiden 15icycle Handicap (Roadster) —AY. E. Chapman, 50yds, 1 ; W. Garnett, 20yds, 2 ; J. Milner, scr., 3. Six started. Won easily. Time, 2min 40 l-sth sec. Half-mile Bicycle Handicap—E. Fitzgerald, 1; IL E. Wall, 2 ; H. J. Moss, 3. Won after an exciting race by a wheel. Time, lmin 6sec. 220 Yards Hat Handicap—W. J. Strickland, 16yds, 1; -J. M. Hamilton, 18yds, 2 ; A. F. Bowman, 10yds, 3. Two others started. Won by two yards. Time, 22 4-sth sec. One Mile Bicycle Handicap (Roadster) —W. E. Chapman, 255 yds, 1 ; W. Castle, 85yds, 2 ; T. F. Watson, 115 yds, 3. Three others started. Won easily. Time, 2min 11 l-sth sec. One Mile and a Half Bicycle Handicap (Ladies' Bracelet) —E. Reynolds, scr., 1 ; E. Fitzgerald, 95yds, 2 ; A. E. Wall, 130 yds, 3. Six others started. Won comfortably. Time, 2min 30sec. Three-quarters of a Mile Boys' Bicycle Handicap—W. Garnett, scr., 1; H.Todd, 15yds, 2; R. Skippage, 15yds, 3. Won easily. Time, 2min 13 l-sth sec. Three Mile Bicycle Handicap (Roadster) —A. E. Wall, 200 yds, 1 ; W. E. Chapman, 415 yds, 2 ; T. Watson, 235 yds, 3. Three others started. When it came to the finish, Wall had his field easily beaten. Time, 7min 34 l-sth sec. 440 Yards Flat Handicap (Ladies' Bracelet) —J. M. Hamilton, 30yds, 1 ; H. Marshall, 40yds, 2. Three others started. To time was taken. One Mile Hawke's Bay Provincial Championship—E. Reynolds, Auckland, 1 ; F. Fraser, Napier, 2 : F. B. Muir, Wellington, 3. Three others started. Won easily. Time, 2min 21sec. Three Mile Open Bicycle Handicap —E. Fitzgerald, 135 yds, 1 ; A. E. Wall, 25gyds, 2 ; E. Reynolds, scr., 3. A fine race. Won with a bit to spare. Time, Tmin 27 l-sth sec. Five Mile Roadster Handicap—F. Castle, 20see, 1 ; T. Watson, 30sec, 2 ; A. E. Wall, 25sec, 3. Won easily. Time, l lmin lßsec. BSO Yards Flat; Handicap—J. M. Hamilton, 30yds, 1; -3. L. Fahey, 10yds. 2 ; C. Price, 45yds, 3. Four others started. Won easily. Time, 2min 23sec. Ten Stile (M'Lean Cup) Bicycle Handicap—J. Cauyhley, scr., 1 ; A. Pocoek, 85sec, 2 : T. Oliver, oosec, 3. Two others started. Won easily. Time, 27min 11 3-sth sec. Reynolds, paced by Wall, Muir, and Fitzgerald, put up a North Island, record for a mile, covering the distance in 2min 19 2-sth see.
