WRECK OF THE DELMIRA. STRIKING OF THE TAKAPUNA [By Telegraph.] (/Vr /Vi'ss Association.)

Wellington, This day.

The Kahu left to-day for the scene of the wreck of the Delmira to conduct salvage operations. If northerly winds continue something may be saved, but if a southerly springs up the vessel will probably go to pieces. A Magisterial inquiry will be held on Monday. On Wednesday a Magisterial inquiry into the recent striking of the Takapuna near Alligator Point will be held.
