Debentures, representing £IOOO, .(.'"'00. £2OO, and £IOO respectively, payable to Bearer. These Debentures are secured on the Public Revenue of the Colony. The Principal will be repaid at par not earlier than ten years nor later than twenty-five years from the 21st December. lH'Jti, the Government reserving to itself the right of redemption (l>y conversion or otherwise) on the 13th February or loth August, 1907, or in any year after the year 1907, upon giving six mouths' notice in the Government Gazetle, and in at least four newspapers published in the Colony, of its intention to do so. Both Principal and Interest will be made payable at the Treasury, Wellington. New Zealand. Dividends, represented by Coupons attached to the Debentures, will be payabb. at the Treasury, Wellington, on the loth February and on the loth August in each year during the currency of the Loan. The issue price will be at the rate of £IOO in money for every £IOO expressed in Debentures {below which no tender will be accepted), payable as follows : per cent, deposit on application ; 4") per cent, on Monday, the '2lst December. 2") pei- cent, on Monday, the lßth January. 1H97 ; 2."> per cent, on Monday, the l."ith February. 1*97. Payments may be made in full at any time on or after the 21st December, lb'Jfi. and prior to die loth February, 1H!)7. at a discount at the rate of one pound ten shillings per centum per annum. Sealed tenders, addressed to the Secretary to the Treasury. Government Buildings, Wellington, accompanied with the ."> per cent, deposit, will he received up to noon oil Monday. 7th December, lH9tj, when they will be opened in the presence of a committee, consisting of Ihe Colonial Treasurer, the Controller and AuditorGeneral. and Mr Henry Kember. F.1.A.N.Z., and allotment will forthwith be made. If cheques are lodged with a Tender they be drawn upon a bank in Wellington, and be marked by such bank as "good" for fourteen days. Cheques issued by a bank need not be so marked. Tenders may be for the whole or any part of the Loan, and must state what amount of money will be given for every £'loo of the Debentures tendered for. Tenders must be for even hundreds of pounds sterling, and at prices which arcmultiples of sixpence. Tenders at different prices must lie on separate forms. The nominal amount of Debentures tendered for must be written on the outside of the tend-r. Should the tenders received exceed in the aggregate the amount required, a pro rata distribution will be made. In case of partial allotment, the balance of the deposit will be applied towards the first instalment. In case of default in the payment of any instalment at its proper rlate. the deposit and instalments previously paid will be liable to forfeiture. When no allotment is made, the deposit will be returned.
