A peculiar coincidence in connection with the case is that a man giving the name of Captain Lee Miller, shipped for San Francisco from Newcastle last month. It has transpired that the real Frank Ilarwood, whom Butler is supposed to have represented, is at present manager of a mine in West Australia. Butler is said to have somehow obtained possession of one of Harwood's testimonials.
