Generally speaking the stock is of excellent"quality and in many cases superior to anything yet seen on Tahuna Park. Cattle —In the Shorthorn*, Gow of Taieri took the first prize. In the Open Dull class and in the Ayrshire, Gemmell of Oaniaru won all the prizes. In the Bull classes, A. and J. McFarlane first and second in the all aged cows. Sheep—Watson and Shennon, of Puketui. Carrie 1 oft" all the honors in merinos, and John Reid and Sons, of Southland, took all the prizes in Shropshire Downs; whilst the Hon Mr Holmes had a similar success in Cheviots.
