A mysterious tire recently broke out in the "Wiiipawa railway station premises. A Taupo correspondent telegraphs tnat a voung man named illiam Leslie Mason has been arrested there on a charge of wiliully causing the fire. A sninl! lad named Henry Marlin, who was mentioned in yesterday's issue as bavin" attempted to commit larceny at the Empire Hotel, Wellington, was charged with the offence at the Lower Court yesterdav. It appears that he has been an inmate of the Ikirnham Industrial School, and was allowed out on a license to his mother. He was convicted of the offence, and ordered to be returned to the Industrial School.
