THE NEXT PARLIAMENT.

[To THE EDtTOE.] Sir,,—Your article on " Political Gods" last night recommends itself to every right - thinking man and woman, but are you not a trifle inconsistent. At the conclusion of the article you say, " "We trust that the next House of Representatives will be a credit to the colony, although we fear that under present conditions we are expecting more than will be realised." In a recent issue (Oct. 13, I believe) you remarked, " "We have the faith, which amounts to a conviction, that the electors will choose wisely and well, and that the thirteenth Parliament will be a credit to the colony." This is surely a direct contradiction. —I am, &c., Elector.
