Mr Fraser's Meetings.

AT HAMPDEN. Mr Fnt -e r add res a crowded meeting itt the Oddfellow's Hall, Hampden, on Th-ir-day evening. Mr Jtiichanan (in the chair.) introduced the Liberal candidate in a short and pithy speech. Mr Eraser oil ri ~in-_r to addiv-s the meeting was enthusiastically cheered. He reviewed the policy of both parties in a clear and lucid manner, grave a highly characteristic thumb nail sketch of component parts of the Opposition, and concluded with a trenchant review of Mr It. I>. I>. McLean's address. The meeting terminated by a vote of thanks and confidence to Mr Fraser, which was heartily endorsed by three cheers. After the public meeting Mr Eraser by mpiest met about ;JO ladies and explained to their satisfaction several matters which thev desired to hear him express his opinions upon. On leaving Hampden Mr Eraser received a right royal send off, all hands turning out to give hiiu a farting cheer. AT TE AETE. AfkrpE number of settlers from all ports'of Te Ante and the ont stations mastered in full force at Pickering's Mall to hear Mr Fraser's address. Mr John Evans in the chair briefly introduced the speaker. Mr Fraser's speech occupied an hour and a half, and was principally on the same lines as his Kaikora and Hampden addresses. At the conclusion of the speech, Mr Pat McMahou proposed a vote of thanks and confidence in Mr Fraser ■who as a voting Colonial deserved great credit for" his pluck and manliness in coming forward to represent their interests. This was carried unanimously with Urn* ringing cheers for Mr Fraser.
