Chas. Cooper's Scenic Concerts.

To-night the residents of Hastings and district will have an opportunity rarely offered to concert goers in Hawke's Bay. Mr Clias. Cooper's grand scenic displays with magnificent spectacular and mechanical effects have aroused the greatest enthusiasm in Auckland and Napier, simply because they stand alone, far superior to anything of the kind before staged. The various thrilling events that have occurred on land and sea vividly appear before the onlooker on a scale of splendour that fascinates the eye, while the ear is charmed, with songs, recitals, and music suitable to the subjects. The mechanical effects are unique, ingenious, and novel. Smoke and tire, storms and battles, rapidly appear with surprising realism. The changes- from day to night are so beautifully natural that one is loth to believe 'tis but the hand of art. Many people were charmed with Snazelle's entertainment and justly so, but Mr Chas. Cooper's apparatus and mechanical contrivances imported from London at great cost are admitted to be vastly superior.
