B. A. and I'. Society's Show, beating five others. Sire, Marquis of Salisbury, g. sire Lord Salisbury, imported from Scotland. You will see by the sires that the Earl of Salisbury is second to none. The Earl of Salisbury's dam is the purebred Clydesdale mare Pride's Darling (611) imported from Victoria by Mr John Trestrail. Pride's Darling s sire was Cox's Pride of Scotland (imported! dam Fanny by Bothwell iimpurted>. iVc., Ac. Pride's Darling gained a first prize at Duuedin Show in 1880 and a first prize at the Taieri Show in the same year. Also firsts at Dunedin and Taieri Shows. 1887.
